PlateIQ collects information you provide directly, including your email address, restaurant name, and supplier invoice files. When you upload invoices, our AI processes the document content to extract line-item pricing and ingredient data. We also collect standard usage data such as pages visited and features used.
We use your data exclusively to provide the PlateIQ service: parsing invoices, tracking ingredient prices, calculating food cost percentages, and generating profitability reports. We do not sell your data to third parties. Invoice content is processed by Anthropic's Claude AI API under their data processing agreement, subject to their privacy policy.
Your invoice files are stored encrypted in cloud object storage (Cloudflare R2 or Amazon S3). Database records are stored in a serverless PostgreSQL database (Neon). We use industry-standard TLS encryption for all data in transit and encryption at rest for stored files. Access is controlled via secure session tokens stored in httpOnly cookies.
PlateIQ integrates with: Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic Claude (AI invoice parsing), Resend (transactional email), Cloudflare R2 / AWS S3 (file storage), and Neon (database hosting). Each service operates under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at privacy@plateiq.app. Deleting your account will permanently remove all your restaurant data, invoices, and menu information.
We use a single httpOnly session cookie for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.
We will notify you of material changes to this privacy policy via email. Continued use of PlateIQ after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
